Bus Tours

We have three bus tours set up for those of you who are able to arrive early in Lancaster. The buses have limited seating capacity, so we will have to allocate the seats based on the date that we receive your sign-up for each of the tours.

If you are able to join us for one or more of the tours, just sign up on the all-in-one sign-up page on this website or use the sheet that will be included with the mailed Premium List.

Sunday, April 25th – Washington, DC

The bus will leave the hotel at 9:00am for the 2 ½ hour drive to Washington. We will take a general tour around the city with stops at monuments and the Air & Space Museum, and then the bus will drop us off at the Mall so that we can go sightseeing on-foot. If we are lucky, the cherry blossoms may still be on the trees, but if they aren’t the city is still quite pretty. At 5:30 pm the bus will pick us up and bring us back to the hotel at about 8:00pm. Cost of this tour is $60.00 per person.

Monday, April 26th – Lancaster County

Lancaster County is home to one of the largest Amish/Mennonite communities in the country. The bus will leave the hotel at 9:45am and return at 3:00pm. Our guide will show us around the plain communities. We will visit the Mennonite Visitor Center, see a number of the tourist areas and enjoy a typical lunch. Cost for this tour is $30.00 per person.

Tuesday, April 27th – Philadelphia, PA

Our bus will depart from the hotel at 9:00 am and bring us back by 6:00 pm. It’s about a two hour drive to the University of Pennsylvania Veterinarian School where Dr. Abby Smith, daughter of Seaver and Edith Smith of Quibbletown Kennels, will give us a tour of the school’s facilities and some of the research they are doing. Afterward, we will find a place for lunch and then take a tour of the historic sites within the city that was our first national capital. Cost for this tour is $40.00 per person.
